A SKATER has rolled her way to international exposure in Madonna's latest music video.
Former Beaverwood School pupil Simone Wells, 32, from Orpington, auditioned for the part as a roller skater in a roller disco just before Christmas.
She didn't hear anything for a week and assumed she hadn't got the part.
But in January her agent called her to tell her she had been chosen.
Ms Wells, who works with fossils at the Natural History Museum, said: "We worked long and hard on set, spending almost nine hours on skates just for one scene."
She added: "Despite being as close to Madonna as you can get, I didn't get to talk with her.
"Striking up conversation on set would not have been appropriate.
"She came across as very focused and dedicated and she looks great."
Ms Wells skates with Meridian RDFC which trains at the Walnuts Leisure Centre, Lych Gate Road, Orpington, every Sunday.
She has been roller skating for four years.
Madonna's single Sorry was released on February 20.
