PENSIONERS will take to the streets during a week of protests as part of a campaign to improve the basic state pension.
The Bromley branch of the British Pensioners' Trade Union Action Association will meet on March 13, outside the ratailer BHS, Bromley High Street, at 10.30am.
All are welcome at the event, which comes during Pension Action Week.
The week is organised by the country's biggest pensioner organisation, the National Pensioners' Convention.
The Bromley branch of the action association is supporting the NPC's call for the Government to raise the basic state pension from £84.25 to at least £114 per week.
It also wants it to restore the link between pensions and earnings and pay the full state pension to all men and women.
