THE number of children getting on a bus to learn about the dangers of drugs has reached 100,000.
Health education charity Life Education Centres Bromley (LECB) runs the classes from a mobile classroom, also known as the drug bus, at primary schools.
The length of the lessons and the subjects covered depend on the ages of the children but they all focus on taking care of their bodies and the dangers of drugs.
Bickley Primary School children enjoy learning on the bus.
Headteacher Rosamund Skinner said: "I think it's fantastic.
"The LECB does drug prevention education in a very dynamic way with each of the children in the programme. We could not deliver anything they can."
The programme has been running since 1997.
Participating schools pay about 70 per cent of the running costs with the remainder covered by donations from charitable trusts and voluntary groups.
