PUPILS have spent a week learning about the benefits of eating and living well.
Students at the Pendragon School made tasty smoothies, healthy dishes and got to the root of which minerals are in their vegetables.
The secondary school in Pendragon Road, Downham, which has 123 pupils with learning difficulties, held the activities as part of its Healthy School Week.
Students also got the chance to meditate in religious education and music classes to encourage good "emotional wellbeing".
The school is also in the process of hiring a yoga teacher to help staff and pupils learn how to relax.
Headteacher Pancho Martinez said: "This week has helped encourage the students to open their eyes to foods they are not aware of."
