A PUBLIC meeting will be held to discuss the challenge of climate change and action being taken on air pollution.

Kent County Council Dartford Local Board will meet at 7pm on March 15 at Holy Trinity Primary School, Chatsworth Road, Dartford.

Representatives from Dartford Council will report on a public consultation under way to tackle air pollution and its effects on health.

There will also be discussions on work being done to respond to climate change, which has been identified as one of the biggest challenges facing Kent in the next 20 years.

Bertie Bassam, chairman of Dartford Local Board, said: "These topics about our environment are extremely interesting and very relevant to people in the area."
