HEALTHY pupils have spent a week learning about the benefits of eating and living well.
Students at Pendragon School made tasty smoothies, healthy dishes and got to the root of what minerals are in vegetables.
The activities at the secondary school in Pendragon Road, Downham, which caters for 123 pupils with learning difficulties, were part of its Healthy School Week.
Students also had the chance to meditate in religious education and music classes to encourage good "emotional wellbeing".
The school is also in the process of hiring a yoga teacher to help staff and pupils learn how to relax.
Headteacher Pancho Martinez said: "This week has helped encourage the students to open their eyes to foods they are not aware of.
"It is also about encouraging students' emotional wellbeing."
