BUDDING designers have taken part in a school challenge to build a space buggy.
More than 30 Year 6 pupils at Poverest Primary School, Tillingbourne Green, St Mary Cray, entered a K'nex challenge for a shot at the borough championships in May.
The pupils, aged between 10 and 11 years old, were given an hour to build a space buggy using K'nex toy plastic rods and connectors.
Teacher Natalie Cummings said: "The hope is to enthuse girls and boys about making and designing things for future generations."
She added: "It also ties in with the school's technology curriculumn."
Pupils Sam Richardson and Michael Sharpe, both 11, were selected to take part in the Bromley K'nex championships on May 16.
