CHARITY patrons enjoyed watching an internationally renowned belly dancer perform at a fundraising lunch.
More than 80 people attended the lunch organised by the Blackheath Local Committee, which raises funds for Cancer Research UK.
The February 2 event took place at the Clarendon Hotel, Montpelier Row, Blackheath.
Blackheath-based belly dancer Maria Louisa strutted her stuff in return for money from the crowd.
She has regularly appeared on television and danced for royalty such as Prince William and the Sultan of Brunei.
In total, the event raised £435 which will add to the £180,000 raised for Cancer Research UK by the committee in its 15-year history.
Commitee chairman Rosalie Vexter, 77, said: "I feel privileged to be at this lunch and to be able to help raise money to fight this awful illness."
