The Ruby Indian Restaurant prides itself on welcoming customers and providing them with real traditional Indian cuisine. The owner has been a restaurateur for 21 years, and has plenty of experience in providing a truly remarkable friendly and hassle-free service. 10 of these years have been spent at The Ruby.

The restaurant has been cleverly divided into two main areas. The calming and relaxing environment of the main dining area, with its lightly coloured marble-effect walls and large mirrors accommodates for up to 54 people comfortably, and includes a non-smoking section.

The other area boasts a truly unique function room, fully soundproofed to cater for all your wine and dine party requirements for a maximum 35 people. In here you may choose from a set menu, or take your pick from the main menu.

This room features an extravagant sound system, and if you wish you may bring your own music to dance to after you have enjoyed your meal. Early booking is advisable to avoid disappointment.

The chef at the ruby provides a rich and extensive menu, and has it down to a fine art after 15 years in this establishment. All dishes are freshly prepared and cooked to order. If you have any special dietary requirements, or fancy something not featured on the menu, the chef will be happy to tailor a dish to your needs.

House Specialities include Lamb Sikandary lamb marinated in herbs and spices for 24 hours, then roasted the traditional way; Dodi special Indian vegetable curry and Special Roast Venison.

A typical 3-course meal at The Ruby will cost around £15 including drinks, but why not try the Sunday Buffet at just £6.95? (Children under 12 half price) served between 12-3pm on Sundays only.

There is an excellent selection of wine with bottles from France, Italy, Germany and Portugal adds to an extensive liquor list, with an abundance of spirits and liquors to choose from, and a good range of Indian and Dutch lager too.

If you have a soft spot for real traditional Indian cuisine, then Ruby is a must.
