The southbound section of Manor Road, from the Lower Richmond Road roundabout as far as the Homebase store, will close on July 24 for five weeks and be replaced by a one way system. Northbound traffic will not be affected.
During the temporary closure, traffic will be diverted via Clifford Avenue and Lower Richmond Road.
Brian Marsden, Sainsbury's construction manager, said:
"With the support of the local council and the metropolitan police, we've timed the temporary closure to coincide with school holidays when traffic flow is lighter so that minimum disruption is caused."
