Barbara Baxter, from Orpington, went to the County School for Girls -- now St Austell Girls' Grammar School, in Cornwall -- from 1936 to 1942.
She got in contact with the school recently and was told old-girls were trying to arrange a reunion.
She said: "It would be wonderful if we could get together after such a long time.
"Many of the girls who went to the school were evacuees from London, Bristol and Plymouth.
"Some of them married American GIs and went off to live in the States, but there may be some living in the south east of England.
"I have such lovely memories of my school days, the County School was one of the best in the district."
The reunion has been fixed for some time in October and anyone who has any information about ex-pupils living in the area should call Mrs Baxter on 01689 830126.
