Street muggers got a taste of their own medicine when they targeted a 52 year old in Thornton Heath.
The incident had started familiarly enough when three boys approached the middle-aged woman in Brook Road at 9.45pm on Monday, September 25. As they fought over her handbag, the woman was thrown to the ground and jumped on.
At this point, the woman decided enough was enough and rising to her feet she rammed her attacker against a parked car.
As he fled, the woman turned to his accomplices and asked, "Do you want some now?" The threat was too much for them and they beat a retreat towards Quadrant Road.
