FIVE-STAR: Charlton womens team completed a league double over local rivals Millwall on Sunday with a 5-0 victory, with goals from Tara Proctor (two), Emily Arnold, Justine Lorton and Emma Moore. Charlton face Sunderland at Gravesend & Northfleet FC on Sunday at 1pm. Lorton, Proctor, Pauline Cope and Julie Fletcher have reported for England training.

DANNYS DEAL: Defender Danny Shittu has been given an extended contract which will tie the 19-year-old to the club until 2003.

JAP SCRAP: Plans for Charlton to go on a pre-season tour to Japan have been scrapped because of scheduling problems. Although the club has already received a favourable response from both sponsors and potential J-League opposition, the likelihood is that next seasons Premiership campaign will start earlier than usual, on Saturday, August 4. Charlton may tour Sweden, including a game in Finland instead.

SWITCH OFF: Greenwich Council has rejected an approach from Charlton to beam-back the away match from Middlesbrough to The Valley on March 3.
