With reference to Biggin Hill's flightpath, which crosses the hospital a few hundred feet above, it is not a question of the precedence of which came first, the runway or the hospital.
In a short while Farnborough will become Bromley's Gen-eral Hospital with acute care facilities to serve 300,000 people.
Residents expect it to become a considerable centre of medical excellence, on which the community can depend, and in which it can take pride.
I cannot personally think of anything worse than the development of the flight-path over the hospital site, with larger and more frequent aircraft.
The two areas are completely in-compatible, and it is important that General Government steps in to ensure that our new hospital is protected in the future, by limiting commercial development at the airport.
