The number 286 bus route runs between Greenwich and Sidcup (Queen Mary's Hospital).
According to the issued timetable, during the day the buses should run about every 10 minutes.
Today at 4pm we waited at Queen Mary's Hospital (the beginning of the route) for 30 minutes for a bus to arrive.
At the terminus at the exit to the hospital there were five 286 buses waiting behind each other.
When we got off the bus in Halfway Street, there was another 286 immediately behind us.
All too often the 286 buses seem to run in two's and three's and then a long wait for the next one.
