ORGANISERS at three day clubs for the elderly are appealing for volunteer drivers.
The day clubs in Buckhurst Hill, Loughton and Nazeing are organised and run entirely by volunteers and held at several of Epping Forest Council's sheltered housing schemes.
The council's housing portfolio holder, Stephen Murray, said: For some local residents, a visit to the day club is the only way they can get out and take part in social activities, but most need transport to and from the club.
"We are appealing on behalf of the day clubs for volunteer drivers. If you have the time to spare please contact us and make yourself available."
Anyone who can help should ring the council on 020 8508 8715.
