Wimbledon pulled off a shock victory over National League Stourport in the fourth round of the EHA Cup at Raynes Park High School on Sunday, writes Sean Cotter.

The result was even more of a surprise as Wimbledon had lost 3-1 at Old Georgians the previous day to go bottom-but-one of the South Premier League Division One.

Stourport, who are third in National League Division One, were stunned by a penalty-corner goal from Steve Hamilton in the final minute of the first half.

The Midlands side's leading scorer Laith El-Khatib equal-ised from open play eight minutes into the second half, but Rob Wilding gave Wimbledon victory with a penalty-corner conversion nine minutes from time.

There was no such fairytale cup result for Old Georgians against Bowdon, who are top of the North Premier League.

The Weybridge-based club scored a sixth-minute penalty corner through player-coach Paul Way, but that was as good as it got.

The Cheshire side equalised from a penalty corner three minutes later and then scored four open-play goals without reply in the second half, to run out 5-1 winners.

National Premier Division Teddington were convincing 9-2 winners at North Premier side Sheffield Hallam.

They led 5-0 at the interval through a James Mulcair hat trick and a brace from Jason Nowlan, while in the second half James Webber also scored a brace and Danny Haydon and Robert Moore scored one each.

Golden

Surbiton had a much harder game at fellow Premier Division side Guildford, but eventually won with a golden goal penalty corner from Grant Fulton in the second minute of extra time.

Stuart Head had opened Surbiton's scoring from a penalty corner in the seventh minute of normal time, but Roly Ward equalised from open play.

In Monday's fifth round draw, Surbiton were drawn at home to Teddington, while Wimbledon were rewarded with a winnable home tie against National League Division Two Havant.

Because of the cup games, National League Premier Division fixtures were played on Saturday, with Surbiton going down to a surprise 4-3 defeat at home to Canterbury.

Teddington, however, had an excellent 3-2 win at Lough-borough Students.

In Saturday's South Division One fixtures, Richmond lost 2-1 at leaders City of Ports-mouth and bottom-placed Old Cranleighans lost 6-3 against Beckenham.

Oxted slipped back to second in Division Two after drawing 4-4 at third-placed Spencer, while there was a 3-2 win at Lions for Epsom 1s. Old King-stonians' game at Old Whit-giftian was postponed.

Epsoms 2s continue to make good progress in their first season in the South League, winning 3-1 at home to Herne Bay thanks to goals from Steve Brabant, Phil Chapman and Gary Slaughter

In the Hampshire/Surrey League, Wanderers lost 5-1 at home to leaders Woking, London Wayfarers won 8-1 at bottom-placed Wokingham, London Edwardians went down 3-1 at home to Winchester and Barnes beat Old Mid-Whiftians 8-3 at home.

In Surrey Division One, NPL Lensbury drew 3-3 at Croydon MO, while London University beat Metropolitan Police 7-5 at home and Walton & Weybridge beat Sanderstead 1-0 in their relegation battle.
