Bolton Wanderers 0 Fulham 0 - Fulham continued their unbeaten run away to fellow Premiership newcomers Bolton Wanderers on Saturday in an entertaining 0-0 draw.

Luis Boa Morte returned to the Whites' line-up, albeit as a substitute, after serving his suspension, but he could do nothing about the sub-standard finishing which marred the performances of both teams.

Bolton could have taken the lead in the first minute, when Michael Ricketts' cross just cleared the upright with Edwin Van der Sar stranded.

But after that the home side had to work hard to contain Fulham's clever passing game.

Louis Saha and Barry Hayles were constant threats, but it was Sylvain Legwinski who went closest to scoring with a couple of good efforts.

But as the game approached half time, Van der Sar was twice called into action to keep Bolton out. He tipped a 25-yard effort round the post and then had to save a fierce drive.

Ricketts then produced a 25-yard shot which was within a whisker of the target.

After the break, Fulham looked good going forward but could not get their shots on target Hayles missing their best chance when he fired over from a good position.

The Whites made a double substitution in the 68th minute Boa Morte replacing Hayles and Lee Clark coming on for Steed Malbranque and Bolton looked to improve their luck in front of goal by introducing Dean Holdsworth to the attack.

However, Holdsworth's big-gest contribution to the game came two minutes from time when he was booked for a foul on Rufus Brevett, who himself had been booked just three minutes earlier.

The result means Fulham have now picked up 10 points from the last 12 available and are currently in 11th place in the Premiership table with 18 points.

They are just two points behind Bolton in ninth place, but with a game in hand.
