Representatives from the Convent Prep School, in Gravesend, were among the UK's finest past, present and future swimmers who visited Coventry as Brit-ain's governing body for swimming, the ASA, celebrated the 10th anniversary of its Kellogg's Frosties award scheme with a

glittering gala dinner at the city's Hilton Hotel.

The Gravesend school received a

National Category Award for its swimming programme and it also entered the

Dolphin Trophy, the Bazuka Champion-ships and the District and National Schools' Biathlon Championships, with Convent Prep's Year 6 squad winning the South of England Biathlon Championship.

Hannah Lethbridge and Luke Porter are the South of England Biathlon champions, while Luke also qualified for the National finals.

Lauren Lethbridge swam her first length, Laura Thomas learnt to dive, while Charles Thomas and Douglas Turnbull both swam a mile.

These six were then selected to receive the award on behalf of the high-flying Convent Prep school.

The Amateur Swmming Association's award schemes have helped schools across the United Kingdom and swimmers of all ages for many decades with funds being channelled back into grass-roots swimming.
