A Christmas concert by the Darent Valley Choir will be held at St Mary's Church, Swanley, later this month. The concert will feature Anya Williment, aged 15, from Eynsford, who was one of the eight finalists in BBC Radio 2's Young Choristers of the Year 2001, a competition which was judged in October.
Yvonne Jelley, a member of the choir, said: "She has quite a following because she has a terrific voice. We're trying to boost her confidence."
Miss Williment has said she plans to enter the competition again next year.
The programme includes a selection of choruses from Bach's Christmas Oratorio, Handel's Zadok the Priest and Christmas songs and carols.
