HEATHROW Airport has installed heart defibrillators in all four of its terminals as part of a government drive to improve the survival rates of heart attack casualties in public places.

The initiative makes Heathrow the first airport to trial the equipment, which can be used by more than 180 staff trained by the Red Cross and St John Ambulance.

Twenty-eight machines were initially installed at Terminal 4, with more being rolled out to include terminals 1, 2 and 3.
