EIGHT hardcore nature enthusiasts braved the December chill to take part in a two-hour educational ramble around Horsenden Hill, organised by the Parks and Countryside Service on Sunday, December 2.
The walkers, who gathered at the Horsenden Hill Visitor Centre in Horsenden Lane North, Greenford, learnt about the different types of woodland in the area, such as the ancient Horsenden Wood, which dates back over 400 years, and how they are managed.
The walk was led by dedicated Ranger Martin Smith and the event was described as a success by those who took part, despite the cold weather.
