Barnet have been drawn away to Fisher Athletic while Hendon must visit Cambridge City in the FA Trophy third round on Saturday, January 12.

For Barnet fans, the clash with Fisher will trigger memories of the greatest day in the club's history. Back in 1991 a 4-2 win there on the last day of the season took the Bees into the Football League for the first time.

After ten seasons in the Football League, Barnet dropped down into the Conference in May and were exempt from the FA Trophy until this round.

Fisher are currently ninth in the Dr Martens Eastern Section. They earned the right to entertain the Bees with a 5-1 home mauling of Merthyr Tydfil on Saturday.

Cambridge City, 15th in the Dr Martens League Premier Division, won 2-0 at Banbury United in the second round on Saturday.

Hendon earned the right to a place in the draw after keeper David Hook was the hero of their 2-1 win at Maidenhead which avenged a recent 3-1 league defeat on the same ground.

Hendon got off to a sensational start when Ross Pickett headed them into the lead from Byron Bubb's corner after only 40 seconds.

But Hook had to be at his best with two magnificent saves that prevented the Magpies taking a 2-1 lead within the next ten minutes.

Hendon went close several times before Paul Yates stretched their lead after 62 minutes. Racing on to Bubb's measured pass, he drilled the ball between the legs of keeper Richard Barnard. Within seconds, Ricky Ibe replied for the home side, but Hendon held on to secure their passage into the next round.

HENDON: Hook, Woolner, Clarke, Forbes, Towler, Cooper, Bubb, Bates, Nartey (Binns 77), Pickett, Yates. Subs not used: Haule, Ruggles, Burgess M, Hamilton D.
