A robber escaped empty-handed after brandishing a foot long metal bar at a Mitcham post office.
The terrifying attack happened at 6.30pm last Wednesday when a 22-year-old man entered the Church Road shop, demanding money from the till. The 52-year-old shop owner refused and the suspect smashed the till before demanding cash from a customer and fleeing in a maroon Ford Escort with another 22- year-old man.
