Pupils at a Wimbledon primary school launched a bid for
eco-status by collecting litter from all their school bins.
Children at Wimbledon Chase Primary School, Merton Road, recorded the bins contents as
85 per cent paper and recycling bins have been installed as a
result.
Deputy head of the school, Jane White, said: We are very proud of our childrens desire to do their bit in improving the environment.
