I was recently in Tooting Parking Shop buying £1 visitors' parking permits when, by chance, I picked up a copy of Wandsworth Parking News and read an article on the back page.
The article informed me that ten free one-hour visitors' permits are available to all resident permit holders.
I returned to Tooting Parking Shop and was told I could not get these free passes over the counter. Instead, I had to write off for them, which my husband duly did.
How many permit holders know they are entitled to 10 free one-hour visitors' permits worth £10?
No one told me I just read an article I happened to come across.
I think all resident permit holders should be told of their entitlement to 10 free visitors' passes when they apply for their permits.
The free permits should also be easily available across the counter at parking shops.
I hope my experience will inform other residents of what they are entitled to.
