Tchaikovsky's enchanting classic Christmas ballet The Nutcracker will be performed by the acclaimed Russian National Ballet at Fairfield from December 26-31.
Founded by Sergei Radcheno, former star of the Bolshoi Ballet, the remarkable talent of Russia's gifted young dancers intends to charm in this fully staged festive production.
Tchaikovsky's masterly score, performed by the Russian National Orchestra and conducted by Vladimir Moiseyev, exquisitely paints the picture of a magical Christmas Eve, a fantasy world where toys come alive and do battle with mice and a Nutcracker is transformed into a handsome prince. This fantasy world of sparkling scenery and magical toys where childhood fantasies come true is waiting to be brought to life in front of Croydon's crowds.
Performances start at 7.45pm from December 26-30, with a matinee only on 31. Tickets are priced from £13.50-£22.50. Call 020 8688 9291
