The London Charity Orchestra (LCO) recently performed at a special fun day for children from Westover Road, Wandsworth, in a bid to generate community spirit.
Around 60 children, many kitted-out in fancy dress, attended the event at the Royal Victoria Patriotic Building as the orchestra performed Toy Symphony and Peter and the Wolf.
LCO committee member and Westover Road resident, Philip Solt, said: "It suddenly occurred to me that there are all these kids in the street who don't know each other and that's very sad.
"We organised a community building event and also wanted to promote an interest in music."
