A picture illustrating that family learning can be fun has won first prize in a competition held to celebrate Family Learning Week.
Eight-year-old Rosa Uddoh from Regina Coeli school was pronounced the winner at a prize-giving ceremony at her school on Monday, November 26 for her picture promoting family learning.
The competition was designed to get members of a family involved in learning together and the winning picture was chosen because it best represented how much fun learning as a family can be.
The 50 families that participated in Family Learning Week in October represented 30 schools in the borough.
Croydon's cabinet member for education, Councillor Louisa Woodley, said: "The Family Learning Weekend was a tremendous success attracting families from all over the borough and encouraging them to become more involved in learning together."
