MISSING: one 5ft-long plastic reindeer.
The Parkinson's Disease Society sold the novelty animal by mistake at a fundraising sale at St Edmund's Church hall, Chingford Mount Road, Chingford, on Saturday.
The charity uses the illuminated beast for promotional purposes and had placed it under a table while the sale was in progress. A woman then bought it from an unwitting helper for 50p.
However, Rudolph's nose will not light up without a transformer, which is still in the hands of assistant secretary Phyllis Clemens.
She said: "It is useless without it."
The charity organisation apologises for any misunderstanding and asks the woman to return the reindeer to Mrs Clemens at 3 St Teresa Court, Forest View, Chingford, or call 8529 4099 for a refund of the price of the item.
