Kinder London Towers and coach Lino Frattin have parted company because the team lies at the bottom of the Euroleague, without a win so far this season.

Towers' managing director Rick Taylor said: "We wish to thank him for his contribution up to now and wish him the best of luck for the future."

On Tuesday the Towers appointed David Lindstrom as their new coach.

The American played professional basketball in the Phillipines, Australia and Europe before going on to make a name for himself as a coach.

He has coached in Australia, where he was coach of the year in 1987, and most recently in Japan with Mitsubishi Electronics in Japan's national league.

Kinder London Towers 94 bt Brighton Bears 86

Kinder London Towers went top of the BBL Championship Southern Conference after a 94-86 victory over Brighton Bears on Saturday.

Towers dominated the first half and led 51-37 by the main break.

But Albert White set about dragging his team back into the game and the sides were level at 62 before the end of the third quarter.

A three from White to start the fourth quarter gave the Bears the lead but it was to be their only one of the night as Towers won the game with some fine foul shooting.

Brightons' White led all scorers with 38 while Terrell Myers bagged 25 for the Towers.
