Marc Elston (Edenham) took his season's goal tally to 12 as he registered his third hat-trick against Shepway Schools' under-13s at Folkestone in an English Schools Area Eleven Wimbledon Challenge Trophy tie.

Elston spearheaded the free-scoring Croydon attack, scoring the first three goals for Croydon before being substituted 10 minutes into the second half.

Then Croydon moved into top gear, scoring six goals in 26 minutes. Substitute Ryan Gibbs (The Archbishop Lanfranc) and Harry Ottaway (St Joseph's) scored two each while Lumumba Amena (Ashburton) and Danny Gladwin (Stanley Technical) also struck.

Croydon Schools' Under-12s 2 bt Maidstone Schools' Under-12s 1

Croydon Schools' under-12s turned in a superb display to defeat Maidstone Schools 2-1 in this English Schools' Area Eleven Patrick Haugh Trophy tie.

Debutant Ochan Eskisan (Haling Manor) put Croydon a goal up in the 22nd minute, scoring from close range from a cross by Tommy Kavanagh (St Joseph's).

Substitute Aaron Miller (Haling Manor) increased Croydon's lead 10 minutes from the end of time before the home side scored a late consolation goal.

Aldershot Schools' Under-14s 4 Croydon Schools' Under-14s 2

Two goals in extra-time by visitors Aldershot gave them victory in this Surrey Schools' under-14s Laurence Edwards Memorial Shield semi-final match at Powerleague, Norbury.

It was rough justice for Croydon who led after only three minutes through a fine strike by Daniel Robertson (St Joseph's) following a through ball by schoolmate, Austin Gacheru.

But Aldershot equalised to make the game evenly poised at half-time. Jamie King (Riddlesdown) restored Croydon's lead with a superb header early in the second half but the visitors soon drew level again. Then came those two goals in extra-time to seal Aldershot's victory.

There are three District matches on Saturday. The under-15s take on Hackney & Tower Hamlets in a London Schools' FA Corinthian Shield match and the under-14s entertain Havering Schools in a London Schools' FA Sun Shield tie. Both matches are at Powerleague, Norbury with 10.30am kick-offs. The under-11s are away to Dartford in a friendly.
