A 10-year-old Surbiton girl completed every young football fans dream last Thursday, November 29, when she led Fulham out on to the pitch against Tottenham in the Worthington Cup.

Katy Knivett, who lives in Maple Road, was match day mascot, after winning a competition in Pizza Hut, Fulhams official sponsor.

She was also given a first team strip, was taken on a tour of Craven Cottage, met her Fulham heroes and warmed up with the team before the match.

She said: I had loads of fun. It was really exciting leading the players on to the pitch, and I met my favourite player, Louis Saha.

Unfortunately for young Katy, though, Fulham lost 2-1 to Spurs and are out of the Worthington Cup.
