Carshalton Athletic manager Frank Murphy has warned his players not to underestimate the challenge of struggling Barking & East Ham United.

The teams meet at Lodge Avenue tomorrow, with the Robins needing a big win to improve their confidence in front of goal.

Since their 5-1 rout of St Leonard's in the first round of the FA Trophy on November 3, the Robins have scored just four goals in seven Ryman League Division One and cup matches.

"Our lack of goals has been the main reason for dropping points," said Murphy.

"Gary Elliott, a defender, has scored three of our goals in that run and that is a worry.

"We need to score more it's as simple as that.

"There is no problem def-ensively it's up front we have failed."

Barking & East Ham will be determined to end a run which has seen them concede 16 goals in their last three games.

"Barking have been the whipping boys this season, but so were Windsor & Eton until we played them and drew 0-0," said Murphy.

"It's a sign that we cannot take anything for granted.

"Barking is not the best place in the world to go and they have a few experienced players in their team.

"Our main aim is to do a job and win three points."

Murphy will include Wade Falana in his squad, following the striker's one-month loan period with Tonbridge Angels.

Meanwhile, Simon Bassey will be suspended for one match after picking up five bookings.
