Conservative councillors in Old Malden are drumming up support for proposals for community groups to celebrate the Queens Jubilee in style next year.
Councillor Mick Amson is gauging public support for his idea to provide Manor Park Hall, in Malden Road, New Malden, as a free venue to enable a diverse mix of community groups to celebrate the Queens Golden Jubilee together.
He said: This event will help forge community spirit as we come together and celebrate.
It will be something the people of Old Malden can take pride in.
