Spring has sprung as far as comedy in Colliers Wood is concerned, for the Roar With Laughter club has a line-up including a Welshman and a star of the 11 O' Clock Show. Getting the evening under way is Steve Best. Funny and frenetic and exhausting to watch, his act can feature everything from blowing up a woman and eating balloons to cutting his hand off and drilling his own teeth.
His slapstick comedy is labelled an "unholy cross between Steve Martin, Lee Evans and Fozzie bear".
Stroke my shirt is an offer made to audiences by comic Dave Parton, a dark, bitter Welsh comic. A veteran of hundreds of gigs he has been described as a fat Welsh git but funny with it.
Best known for his appearances on The 11 O' Clock Show and Show Me The Funny, Jimmy Carr (pictured left) is one of the biggest acts on the circuit. He cut his teeth working as a TV warm up man for Baddiel and Skinner and Al Murray, but his witty deconstruction of modern living has established him as a comic in his own right.
Rounding the evening off is Comedy Store and Jongleurs regular Ian Stone.
