THROUGH your columns, may I inform any Old Wealdens living in your area that there is to be a school reunion on Saturday, April 27.
Pupils and staff from Harrow Weald County Grammar School (1933 to 1980) are welcome to join our Association and attend the reunion.
In this Golden Jubilee Year, celebrating the past 50 years, it is inevitable that people will look back on their own lives through to schooldays perhaps wondering what happened to their friends who they have not seen for 30, 40 or 50 years.
The popularity of reunion websites is a testament to the fact that people are interested in researching the past for friends and acquaintances.
This year's reunion coincides with the 90th birthday of Irene Pyke, a highly regarded musician and teacher who has been connected with the school since 1943.
Please phone me for reunion details on: 01753 855913 or email me at: thelma.wood@virgin.net
