A new night-bus service serving Clapham Common was launched by Transport for London last week.

The new N88 service will link Clapham to Camden via Trafalgar Square, and runs every half an hour.

Local traders who work through the night have already welcomed the new route for the convenience it offers their early morning employees.

The added service follows the announcement by London Mayor Ken Livingstone that the capital's night bus service is being used by greater numbers than ever before.

Last year saw an increase of 20 per cent in the number of journeys made by night buses.
