A former borough resident who began her career at Sutton's volunteering organisation, Youth In Action, has been awarded the highest professional recognition for social workers. Catherine Pestano, 39, who now lives in Selhurst but whose family still live in Sutton, has become one of only 104 people in London to achieve the Advanced Award in Social Work.
