Sixth form students at Sutton Grammar School are celebrating their success at being offered places at some of the country's top universities.

A total of 11 pupils have gained places at Oxford and Cambridge University, an increase from last year which saw nine pupils take up offers.

Head boy Varothayasingham Kirthi and his two deputies, Harry Bazzaz and Faraz Shibli, have all been offered places at Cambridge University to study medicine, economics and law respectively.
