BRENTFORD Women's Football Club, who are top of the Greater London Women's Regional League after beating Clapton Orient 5-3 on Sunday, will be allowed to play at Griffin Park for the first time in their 12-year history when they entertain Hillingdon Borough on Saturday (5pm).

This is part of the Nationwide Supporters of Tomorrow scheme that will focus on maintaining the momentum

of the fastest growing game in the UK - women's football. Brentford F.C Football in the Community will be offering girls coaching days, and a new part-time Women's Football Development Officer will encourage local women's football.

The match on Saturday, following Brentford's Football League fixture against Tranmere, enables fans to see two games for the price of one. It will be the first of four women's fixtures played at Griffin Park this season.

Player-manager Amy Crook commented: "Up till now we have played home games at Cranford Community College, Hounslow, so it is a big step forward to run out at Griffin Park for the first time. We should greatly exceed our largest crowd of the season which was 200."

Scorers for Brentford Ladies on Sunday were Louisa Richards 2, Lisa Grant 2 and Nina Welsman.
