I am looking to make contact with the sister of the late rock n' roll singer Dickie Pride - tagged The Sheik of Shake', back in the 1950's and 60's.
He came from Selsdon, and died in 1967.
His sister, married name Anne Parsons, could still be living in the South Croydon or the Croydon locality. I briefly met her at the opening night of Pride with Prejudice, a play about her brother, put on at Highgate Village, N6 in 1999, but I never took her address.
Three years later a BBC2 TV series called Jukebox Heroes paid tribute to Dickie Pride and his sister took part.
Unfortunately the producer has moved away so contact cannot be made through him.
Perhaps if this letter is picked up by her, or some reader brings it to her attention, she could drop her address in the post to me.
