THE night before she hung herself a woman woke her husband to ask him to hold her, a coroner's inquest heard.
Mrs Rosalia Tucker, 34, of Park Road, Watford, took her own life on Saturday, February 8, by hanging herself in the loft of the home she shared with husband Mr David Tucker.
Mr Tucker woke in the morning to find his wife had gone from their bed.
He climbed their spiral staircase to discover her body hanging from a beam in the loft with a chair knocked over on the floor.
Coroner Edward Thomas said the couple had known each other for six or seven years and had been married since October 2002.
Mrs Tucker, was Sicilian and had family living abroad.
She had become depressed after failing to get a job a month before she took her own life police were told in interview by her husband.
At St Albans coroners court on Friday, April 28, Mr Thomas recorded a verdict of suicide and gave the cause of death as hanging.
