Street traders who illegally advertise cars for sale on the public highway have been targeted by Lambeth street care staff.
Five removal trucks removed 13 vehicles with an advertised value of more than £15,000 in raids on King's Avenue, Tooting Bec Gardens and Tulse Hill, during the swoop on April 15.
Four of the seized cars had no registered owners, while another two had false registration plates and none were registered for owners living nearby.
Lambeth executive member for environment Councillor Clare Whelan said: "It is important people who might consider buying vehicles from an illegal trader realise they have little redress in law if anything goes wrong."
