TALK TO YOUR MP: Residents in Dartford have the chance to speak directly with their MP at two constituency meetings in May. Dr Howard Stoate will be at Dartford Citizens' Advice Bureau, in Essex Road, from 7.30pm to 9pm on May 2. He will also be available at Darenth Hall, Ladywood Road, Darenth from 9.30am to 11.30am on May 17.
ANNUAL MEETING: The Greenhithe Community Centre is holding its annual general meeting on May 14. The meeting starts at 8pm at the centre in Alexander Road. The hall is hired out and used by various community groups.
FIRE ALERT: Kent Fire Brigade is asking people to be vigilant following a number of rubbish fires. It advises the public take extra care when putting rubbish out. Many fires are caused deliberately. See ww.kent.fire-uk.org
