A TEENAGER, scarred for life when she was bottled in the face in a nightclub row, is pleading for witnesses to come forward.

Michelle Marshall, 18, of Chorleywood Crescent, Orpington, bled for a week after she was attacked in Delano, in East Street, Bromley.

A broken bottle was pushed into her face by another woman following a row over space on the dance floor.

The former Bromley College student, who has dropped out since the incident, is hoping other club-goers, who witnessed the attack will come forward.

Miss Marshall was taken by ambulance to Bromley Hospital before being taken on to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, in Woolwich.

She lost two pints of blood, received more than 20 stitches in her cheek, and will need plastic surgery to cover the scar.

Mother Suzanne Marshall said: "It is my worst nightmare come true. She is a beautiful girl and now she cries herself to sleep.

"She has been spending a lot of time in her room and said to me the other day. I want to die now. What do I have left?'

"She is trying to get on with her life but she looks terrible."

A woman was arrested and later released without charge.

Delano manager Ogi Lozo said: "It is a great shame this happened. It is dreadful for a woman to do this kind of thing to anyone, let alone another woman."

Investigating officer Detective Constable Sam Townsend said: "The victim was enjoying a night out at the club with a friend.

"While inside the club she received a very serious injury to her cheek when a bottle was smashed into her face. It looks like a random attack over dancing space."
