HARVESTERS NORTH kept their treble hopes alive as they moved into the Challenge Cup Final.

Whetstone were happy to defend in numbers, but despite playing some excellent football Harvesters couldn't find the finish to go with their approach play.

The squad have just returned from a successful tour of Belgium, winning the F.C. Beigem tournament in Brussels, and as the game progressed tiredness crept in following the gruelling tour. In the end, Whetstone held out to take the match to penalties.

Calum Chittenden, Ian Hurst, Ricky Petts and Andrew Murphy held their nerve while keeper Chris Eames made the all important save.

The Harvesters lads must now find one point from three remaining games to take the League title and then face the League Cup and Challenge Cup Finals on the first two Sundays in May.
