The borough's top performing schools were named at the Wandsworth Council pupil achievement awards earlier this month, attended by shadow education secretary Damian Green.

Eighteen primaries and five secondaries were awarded prizes for getting the best SAT, GCSE and A-level results, pupil attainment, the most improved test results and topping the council's "value-added" analysis.

Hotham, Holy Ghost and Roehampton primaries had the best value-added scores at Key Stage 2, while Our Lady of Victories, Sir James Barrie and Holy Ghost had the highest scores at Key Stage 1.

The most improved schools at Key Stage 2 were St Faith's, Roehampton and Alton schools and Southmead, Swaffield and Earlsfield primaries.

Graveney, Chestnut Grove and Southfields Community College were named as the top three performing secondary schools at Key Stage 3. Graveney was also rated the top school for pupils achieving five or more passes at GCSE at grades A* to C.

Ernest Bevin School was named the most improved school since 1999.

Another five schools were awarded the Wandsworth Schools Charter Award for standards of pupil attainment, using an aspect of the curriculum selected by the school itself.
