POLICE trying to piece together the movements of an elderly woman found a month ago, have released her picture.

Lilly Collins, 82, has been unable to recollect what happened to her during the five days she was reported missing from her Islington home or how she ended up in Dartford.

A man dialled 999 after he found her at 8pm, on March 22, thinking she had been injured after a fall.

But staff at Darent Valley Hospital realised she had been seriously assaulted when treating her.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Jerry Marsh said: "Lilly Collins was found in a distressed state, with injuries consistent with an assault. She is still in hospital but is unable to tell us what happened."

Police hope people who recognise her will come forward to help them build a picture of her movements.

She was found wearing a blue fleece jacket, purple jumper, black trousers and blue trainers.

Call police on 01474 538033 with any information.
