Women taking part in the Croydon Race for Life to raise money for Cancer Research UK at Lloyd Park can register now to make it a VIP day at a local health and fitness club.

Sponsored by Tesco, Cancer Research UK's Race for Life started in 1994 and has gone to become the charity's biggest fund-raising event with over 590,000 women raising £35 million so far.

Over 1,650 runners have already registered to take part in the women-only 5-kilometre run around Lloyd Park on Sunday, May 11.

And now Croydon Marketing and Development have teamed up with Holmes Place to offer runners VIP treatment for the day.

Runners and spectators are invited to take advantage of discounted parking and meet at the club for warm up, stretches and refreshments, with transport to and from Lloyd Park.

After the race runners can then enjoy a gentle swim in the luxury 20m pool or relax in the hydrotherapy spa before changing.

A post-run celebration will be held in the clubroom's large bar where you can relax with your spectators and fellow

participants.

To keep the children amused whilst warming up and enjoying the post-race party, children's entertainment is being arranged in the Grants Entertainment complex.

Participants will also be given a goody bag, a complimentary day-pass for Holmes Place and entry into a prize draw to win a three-month membership.

So if you want to make the Race for Life an even more enjoyable day write to Race for Life, Town Centre Management office, 5th Floor, Park House, 22 Park Street, Croydon CR0 1YE.

VIP places are limited, so call 020 8686 2233 for more information.

It costs just £7.50 to enter the race, just go to: http://www.raceforlife.org
